Nowadays, you have a lot of options for carpet cleaning Singapore whether for your residence or business. But there’s one other thing that you have to be aware of: the different carpet cleaning methods to be used. It’s not all methods that could work with your carpet. Find out why…
Dry carpet cleaning in Singapore
This is the most recent carpet cleaning method used as the technology advanced. It is also called compound cleaning. It has become popular in the market and even among carpet manufacturers for being efficient as well as convenient since it won’t require drying.
The highlight of this cleaning method is the application of a cleaning compound or a powder into the bottom area of the carpet with the use of a brush that will open the carpet fiber enabling the compound to settle in which results to deep carpet cleaning.
This is a method that was popular until a more recent method encapsulation came into the picture. This is known to clean carpet that’s heavily soiled but it leaves a large amount of wet foam. This makes it easily soiled again since it takes a long time for the carpet to dry. Thus it’s not so popular anymore these days.
This method uses synthetic detergent as base that can crystalize into powder form when it dries. Loosened dirt will be encapsulated in the powder and when the foam dries they will all be removed by vacuuming or brushing.
This requires a shorter period of drying time compared to carpet shampooing. It has also gained the approval of environmental advocates. This method however has limitations and it may not work well on heavily soiled carpets.
Steam carpet cleaning
This is called hot water extraction cleaning. This method uses high pressure hot water to disrupt the carpet fiber and dissolve the dirt found on the carpet. It also includes the application of a cleaning agent right on the surface of the carpet. This will be followed by brushing and rinsing afterward. After the cleaning agent would settle for a couple of minutes, the carpet will be washed thoroughly to wash off all the cleaning agent residues. The carpet is then allowed to dry in air-conditioned temperature.
